Old Faithful Bar & BBQ

Meat platters of your choice. What more could you ask for?

Recently opened, you have to try this little place on King St in Perth CBD. Their menu boasts a selection of barbecued cuts which is served straight to you on a sharing tray. I have to admit some of the meat was very dry, but others were tender and juicy, with a delicious smokey flavour to them. My favourite for the night were the chicken wings – hopefully you’re not there to please anyone because you have to get stuck in with your hands!

Your order also comes with a serve of bread. Like the idea, but in all honesty I think they should invest in some homemade bread as the couple of slices that were served looked like they just came from a Sunblest packet. Not very appetising for me so unfortunately we left that on the tray.

We also ordered a side of potato salad and coleslaw. The coleslaw was devine, just what was needed to divide the meat flavours up.

Between the 2 of us, the whole meal came to about $40 and we were full, to say the least. The meats are plated per 100g which I loved. Oh, and you have to try the fried pickle to!

End thought – a cheeky glass of red will go down a treat with this meal!
