eat, drink, travel!
Wined and dined, without the wine this time, at Jamie Oliver’s Restaurant in Perth.
Then came the Grilled Chicken and the Jamie’s Signature Porchetta. The grilled chicken was marinated and chargrilled in a tomato, olive, chilli and caper sauce and the porchetta was filled with herbs, garlic and spices. There was also fennel crackling and a watercress salad which was quite interesting. I’m still deciding whether I liked that aspect of it or not. You could also tell the pork belly was slow-cooked because as my knife and fork peeled the meat away it just fell apart and was so deliciously juicy and tender.
We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, however they seat you at the bar so it doesn’t seem too long a wait. The waitress also gave us the option of being seated at the back bar in the restaurant where you can still select from the same menu, you’re basically just not at a dining table.
Great place to have in Perth!
